Did these hip hop stars take their style cues from the subjects of medieval painters? We don’t have any proof of their swagger research, but it’s doubtful. But the images on the site B4XVI do make you go, hmmm. There seems to be a subconscious continuity at work here, across centuries and continents in the way we see power, money and influence. Some of these comparisons seem as simple as accessories; furs and gold chains are pretty unmistakable symbols of wealth. While you can say some of the similarities are coincidences, others are pretty uncanny.
